I found Gavin and Erin Wade through a few other photographers. Since then I have always been amazed with their work and checking out their blog. I guess you can say I was blog stalking. 🙂 Anyway, so when I registered for WPPI,
I saw that they were organizing a Desert Shoot. I thought that this would be an opportunity to get in some more shoots but also meet them.
The shoot was located at a dry lake bed outside of Las Vegas (approx 30min), close to Jean. Not sure where we were going at first, but when we arrived, I was pretty excited about the location. Rain was scheduled for the whole day, but we lucked out. There was no rain, lighting was awesome, and the clouds and mountains added to the environment. A massive amount of talented photographers also attended which made the shoot that more enjoyable. This was just a photo shoot, but Gavin and Erin were more than willing to help with any questions and camera settings when you needed it.
I look forward to more photo shoots from them as they put on a pretty fun one here. If you have a chance, you have to meet Gavin and Erin because they are both really cool and exciting. They are perfect partners for photography. It was also a plus that I got to meet them a day before at Mike Colon’s workshop. Mike Colon was also at this shoot. It was an extra plus that I got to shoot with them and Mike Colon for 2 days in a row! Another bonus was that my wedding photographer and friend, Mike Pesh of Pesh Photo was also there! Good times!
